As an Executive, I have been through the ups and downs of leadership ‘success’ and ‘failure’ as well as been through career transition on three occasions in my life in the UK and Australia. I have learned so much from my experiences about myself as well as my view of the world. Given this, I feel I can relate to leaders who face those business challenges, the ups and downs of life and those who are looking for support to guide them make wise choices as leaders or for their career.
I have come to learn that as we navigate our working life there is no one way to succeed, as there is no one definition of success. As we progress our careers what we see as success changes – and this is okay!
I now work as a coach, mentor and leadership team developer bringing my experience and ongoing learning in coaching to use for others. I use an ontological coaching approach, recognised by the International Coaching Federation.
In terms of my so called ‘success’ I have ‘climbed the ladder’ internationally as an Executive “C” level leader in Supply Chain and Logistics, leading teams in multibillion $ companies as well as private companies. I have a practical operational background that I bring to my work. I have always strived to develop and coach my teams to deliver the ‘what’ whilst focusing on ‘the how’, sometimes succeeding and to be honest, other times not.
As well as supporting leaders make wise choices, I am passionate about ‘moving the dial’ in today’s leadership towards inclusivity (hence my not for profit work with NAWO) and teaching leaders to use their emotional learning and physiology as part of their decision making.
In terms of learning, accreditation and standards in the field of coaching -
I hold a Graduate Diploma of Ontological Coaching from the Newfield Institute.
I am an International Coaching Federation Professionally Certified Coach.
I am a qualified Mental Health First Aider that helps recognise symptoms of mental health problems and how to provide initial support to those in need.
Finally, about me, my purpose in life is ‘to be a Beacon for others’.
